The Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) continues to continue the integrated payment system for the Trans Java toll road. Head of BPJT, Herry Trisaputra Zuna, said that the system was implemented to reduce driver transactions at toll gates which were indicated to be the cause of congestion.
Speaking to reporters in Jakarta, Monday (11/7) Herry said, in the near future the integrated payment system will also be applied to the Karang Tengah Toll Gate (GT), Tangerang. The GT is the main GT for the 98km-long Jakarta-Tangerang toll road. The toll road connects GT Kebon Jeruk, Kembangan, Kunciran, Tangerang, Karawaci and Bitung.
"It could be, the driver is headed towards Karawaci, so it should not need to transact at GT Karang Tengah," said the Head of BPJT.
As is well known, last month, the toll road payment system integration was implemented in two clusters. The first cluster includes the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road (Jasa Marga), Cipularang toll road (Jasa Marga), Padaleunyi toll road (Jasa Marga) and the Cikopo-Palimanan toll road (Lintas Marga Sedaya). While the second cluster is the Palimanan-Kanci (Jasa Marga) toll road, the Kanci-Pejagan (Semesta Marga Raya) toll road and the Pejagan-Pemalang toll road (Pejagan pemalang Toll Road)
In this opportunity, Herry said that his party plans that in the next two years there will be no cash transactions at GT. To realize this, BPJT continues to coordinate with banks to integrate their payment systems.
"The goal is that the payment will be multi-bank. Any bank can enter to participate in payment of toll roads. That's our big plan, "he continued.
The integration is considered the thing that must be done. If there are banks that refuse to open the system related to payment of toll roads, then the bank concerned can be terminated with business cooperation. Herry explained that if the bank sued because it was terminated because it had already assessed the investment in the system, then only the amount of investment had been returned.
"The important thing is that service to the community is not disrupted," he stressed.
Now there are five banks whose cards can be used to pay toll roads. The five banks are BRI with Brizzi cards, Bank Mandiri with E-Money, BNI with Tapcash, BTN with Blink and BCA with Flazz. (KompuBM)
