CIREBON (BINA MARGA) - Jalan Pantai Utara (Pantura) from Bekasi to Losari, the border of Central Java (Central Java) is ready for travelers to pass. This was conveyed by the Head of the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Loly Martina Marief when leading the national road readiness review team to face the mudik flow of West Java on Monday (5/13).

Monitoring starts from the street Bekasi Raya (Jakarta) - Bekasi - Karawang - Cikampek - Pamanukan - Loh Bener - Jatibarang - Cirebon - Losari (Central Java border) with a distance of more than 300 Km. "In my opinion the readiness is 90 percent. The rest is just patching and arranging tidiness such as cleaning grass on the sidewalk, painting the median and so on," Loly said.

Loly paid special attention to the damaged road on the Bekasi Raya road and the narrowing of the road from three lanes to two lanes towards Bekasi due to the impact of the construction of the Semanan - Sunter - Pulogebang Toll Road, section I Kelapa Gading - Pulo Gebang which could interfere with travelers from Jakarta via Pantura passing through Bekasi Raya

The next point of concern is Cibitung - Cilincing Toll Road access where there are bumpy roads and unorganized shoulder conditions. In the field check, the Head of BPSDM was accompanied by, among others, the Head of the Jakarta National Road Implementation Agency (BBPJN), Suko Hari.

Responding to input from Loly, Hari said that his party had coordinated with the contractor to repair the damage at the first location from May 16, 2019 to D-10. Whereas the Cibitung - Cilincing Waskita toll access point promises starting May 13, 2019 at night until May 14, 2019 to do leveling work thereafter shoulder tapping until H-10

During the field monitoring, the team also stopped at three Alert Posts in the Directorate General of DGH. The post was intended to anticipate things that could disrupt national road conditions such as floods or landslides during the mudik and backflow of Eid 2019. Each of these Alert Posts will be equipped with guard officers, heavy equipment and materials ready to be used for emergencies.
