Eight road maintenance / preservation work packages and eight preservation supervision packages were signed on Friday (6/7) at the Directorate General of Highways Building, Jakarta. The entire package will be worked on in the Riau province in the working area of the Medan National Road Implementation Agency (BBPJN) II. The signing was witnessed directly by Plt. Director General (Dirjen) of Highways, Arie Setiadi Moerwanto and Directors in the Directorate General of Highways

BBPJN II Head Paul Ames Halomoan all the work packages come from State Sharia Securities (SBSN) with a multiyears contract that ends at the end of December 2019. Paul said, the packages are intended for road preservation on the East Sumatra Crossroad which is the main logistics route and partly towards the Port of Tanjung Buton.

The eight preservation packages use a multiyears contract scheme, for that Director General of Highways Arie Setiadi Moerwanto instructed the contractors to work continuously in the field by ignoring the value of the work package.

"I do not want to receive reports, the work will be stopped because this year's budget has run out, continue to work because it is multiyears, so it will only be withdrawn in the next fiscal year. If there is something like that (stopping work), next year we will not give work anymore, "said the Director General of Highways.

As for the supervisory consultant, Arie reminded them that they are the prime movers in the quality of work in the field, so do not want to be bought by contractors. For this reason, the supervisory consultant is asked to lease his own residence and operational vehicle and not use the property of the contractor he supervises.

"There should be no reports of the supervisor bag containing the contents of the lunch box and bottled mineral water, you must monitor it properly. We have now compiled an increase in consultant remuneration. "Directorate General of Highways, contractors and consultants are a team, each of which must work professionally," he continued.

Technical Supervision Package

Arie asserted, because using SBSN funds, the economic value generated from the implementation of these packages should be higher than the value sharing for the SBSN owners. Arie asked that the results of the work must be good and the implementation was completed on time.

The SBSN is issued by the Government (such as Government Securities / SUN) on the condition that the assets must be real and of economic value, the activities carried out do not violate sharia principles, and the development of sukuk funds has an impact on the economy, aimed at financing the state budget deficit and project development .

 "The SBSN package is evaluated every six months, last year we received appreciation for the work we are doing, but this year is a bit late, for this reason I am assigning to PPK, the contractor and consultant to immediately start work in the field," he said.

The criteria for handling national roads that are funded by the SBSN in the 2018 fiscal year are increasing the stability of the main cross roads in the framework of strengthening the competitiveness of the nation and supporting the national logistics system, for example, the eastern cross of Sumatra, the north coast of Java, the west of Sulawesi, the south of Kalimantan, the cross of Bali-Nusa Tenggara , trans Maluku and trans Papua.

Other criteria are the handling of roads to support national-scale strategic areas according to the Government Work Plan (RKP) including Special Economic Areas, National Strategic Tourism Areas, and Industrial Estates.
