Directorate General of Highways Increases ITB Civil Engineering Exhibition

The Directorate General (DG) of Highways in the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) participated in the 2018 ITB Civil Engineering Expo (ICEE) held on Friday-Saturday, 26-27 January 2018 at the West Hall of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) Campus , Bandung West Java.
In this event, the Directorate General of Highways participated in seminars and exhibitions. In the exhibition booth, the Directorate General of Highways explained five information related to the construction of toll roads, the construction of a pedestrian suspension bridge, the Holtekamp bridge, the priority program of the Directorate General of Highways, and Community Based Infrastructure (Labor Intensive).
The enthusiasm of ITB students especially Civil Engineering is very high. Seen on the first day of the event, the number of students taking part in the queue to see the exposure of information presented was quite long so that the number of students who asked questions was curious about the program that had been and would be carried out by Bina Marga. In addition to presenting information, visitors can also enjoy exciting adventures exploring Jalan Trans Papua by using Google Virtual Reality (VR).
On the following day, the Directorate General of Highways also provided an understanding through a seminar on Bridge Management and Technology in Indonesia by the Head of Bridge Engineering Sub-Department, Sjofva Roliansyah. In his presentation, Sjofva conveyed the policies and strategies for handling bridges as well as the applicative technology for construction and assessment of bridge conditions.
