In accordance with the policy direction of the 2015-2019 Strategic Plan, among others, accelerating the development of a multimodal transportation system, accelerating the development of transportation that supports the national logistics system, making efforts to balance between national-oriented transportation and local and regional-oriented transportation, and building linkages of transportation systems and networks with investment. to support economic corridors, special industrial zones, national logistics systems, industrial complexes and other growth centers in non-economic corridor areas.

Djoko also revealed that the 2015-2019 DJBM Strategic Plan is in accordance with the national stability of 98%, the stability of local roads 70%, the main corridor travel time is 2.2 hours / 100km and in accordance with the President's Nawacita.

Meanwhile for the additional budget allocation of the Directorate General of Highways amounting to Rp 15.75 trillion in the 2015 FY RAPBN-P consisting of road construction in the border region, namely the construction of roads in the border regions of Kalimantan, East Nusa Tenggara and Papua, as well as reducing disparities between regions and connectivity, namely the development of road infrastructure to reduce disparities between regions, construction of expressways, land acquisition of expressways, and construction of port access roads.
