President Reviews the Progress of the Manado-Bitung Toll Road Development

Manado (Bina Marga) - President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo together with First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo paid a visit to Manado City, North Sulawesi Province Sunday (31/3). The group arrived at night in the city of Manado.
The Republic of Indonesia's President's Work Visit was in the context of formalizing several infrastructure projects in the City of Manado and directly observing the progress of the Manado - Bitung Toll Road.
When giving a press statement after inaugurating several infrastructure projects at the airport, the Head of State stated that the construction of the 39 kilometer long toll road is targeted to be completed in October 2019.
"I checked earlier, it's 80 percent complete. God willing, later in September, we will officially open the October (2019), "said the President.
In addition to focusing on the progress of the development of the Manado - bitung toll road, the Manado XV National Road Implementation Agency (BPJN) also improves access to and from entry from Sukur (North Minahasa Regency) and exit to the Bitung Special Economic Zone (KEK) located in Manembo-Nembo . The Manado-Bitung toll road was built to facilitate the movement of traffic in the integrated development areas of the Manado-Bitung and KEK Bitung.
