Leta Oar Ralan Bridge is a connecting bridge from Yamdena Island to Larat Island. Before going from Larat Island to Yamdena Island using water transportation (boat) and continued by land trip which took approximately 12 hours. However, with this bridge the people who travel only by road or on foot while the travel duration is much shorter and can minimize the risk of the sea whose weather is unpredictable.
The total length of the bridge and connecting road is 322.80 km with a width of 10 meters. The construction of the Leta Oar Ralan Bridge which has been carried out from 2016-2018 (multi-years contract) uses the State Sharia Securities (SBSN) fund of Rp. 123.07 billion.
According to the Bridge Director, Iwan Zarkasi said that in accordance with the expectations of the bridge community, they could distribute goods and services including everything if sick people could be mobilized immediately.
As for the special constraints carried out on the construction of this bridge, one of which is a tool for mounting which is quite heavy in capacity and then a tool for erection using a limited launcher with open air, requires special treatment of wind with a high enough speed as in the Leta Oar Ralan Bridge which is approaching 8-15 km / hour.
Thus the need for special treatment and habituation in the people of West Southeast Maluku and the bridge is also expected to improve the economy with the ease of mobilizing the distribution of goods and services not only between regions, it can later be in the form of cities and even abroad.
