Probolinggo Regency Government received a working visit from Commission V of the Indonesian Parliament in the Probolinggo Regent's Hall, Thursday (2/14).
The group of 26 people was led by the Chairperson of the House of Representatives Commission V Anton Sukartono Surotto and was received directly by the Regent of Probolinggo Hj. Puput Tantriana Sari and Deputy Regent, Timbul Prihandjok. Also attended by the Head of the VIII National Road Implementation Agency (BBPJN), I Ketut Darmawahana, the Head of Cipta Karya Surabaya, Adjat, Head of the Western Region Raw Water Sub-Office, Muradi, Director of Self-Help Homes, Jhony Sofyan Fajar Subrata.
 
Anton Sukartono Suratto, as the group leader, said that in this visit Commission V will see infrastructure development in Probolinggo Regency especially those funded by the State Budget, know the problems of infrastructure development, and to ensure the community that infrastructure development can run smoothly.

Ongoing and planned development is explained at the Working Visit of the House of Representatives Commission V by the Head of the Probolinggo Regency Bappeda, Tutuq Edi Utomo, presenting the proposed infrastructure development activities in 2020.

"The basis for the development of regional infrastructure management is to improve regional competitiveness through increasing per capita income of the community, economic growth, connectivity between regions, regional investment, and improving environmental quality," he explained.

On this occasion, the Probolinggo District Government and Commission V of the DPRI-RI expressed their hopes for improving the status of the access road to the KSPN Bromo - Tengger - Semeru, to become the National Strategic Road.
Responding to this, the Head of BBPJN VIII, I Ketut Darmawahana, said that, there are several mechanisms that must be resolved first in relation to authority and assets. Meanwhile, for the Pasuruan - Probolinggo Toll Road the progress has reached 97%, and is expected to be operational soon, and for the Probolinggo - Banyuwangi Toll Road it is still in the DED stage.
