Bina Marga - The condition of national roads in the Central Java section is ready to be used by Lebaran travelers. Soebagiono conveyed this to a group of members of the House of Representatives Commission V while conducting the Work Kunker to check the readiness of facilities and infrastructure to support the smooth flow of homecoming Lebaran in Semarang-Solo, Central Java on Friday (24/5). Furthermore, he said, in general, there are five crossings in Java that can be used by travelers, namely crossing the North Coast, Central crossing, South crossing, South Coast crossing, and the Trans Java toll road.
Based on data from the Directorate General of Highways, the percentage of national road stability in Java was 92.99 percent with the details of the Java Pantura along 1,341 Km (97 percent road stability), Central cross along 1,197 Km (97 percent road stability), South cross 888 Km (stability road 98 percent) and cross Pansela 1,405 Km (Road stability 83 percent).
Head of Semarang VII National Road Implementation Agency (BBPJN), Akhmad Cahyadi, added that in order not to disturb the flow of homecoming, all work on handling national roads in the Central Java and Yogyakarta Special Region had been suspended from H-10 to H + 10.
"In certain critical places, the unfinished work such as road widening, bridge widening and others we prepare signs, especially at night, we give fluorescent lights, we put limits in the form of barriers," Cahyadi said.
Secretary General of Highways Bina Marga Soebagiono also explained the existence of the Sapta Taruna Alert Post which was established to anticipate emergency situations such as landslides and floods that could cause disruption of vehicle traffic during mudik.
