BUMIAYU (BINA MARGA) - Prupuk National Road - Bts. Kab. Banyumas in Ciregol finally handled again. The reason is, not to mention the handling of the avalanche of the Glagah River cliff at kilometer 115 + 750 completed one hundred percent, now a new landslide point has emerged on the Pedes River bank.

The Pedes River landslide first occurred on June 2, 2014 and the Ciregol Special Handling has been carried out using a 2014 budget. This landslide leaves a channel edge of ± 7 meters. Then due to rain for 12 hours, on February 14, 2015 again landslides that damaged the rocks and the drainage of the road. The landslide that occurred at dawn resulted in the Pantura connecting line with the south of Central Java being threatened. Because, between the road and the cliff edge is now only 0.5 meters away.

In addition, the road body also experienced sinking and cracking. For safety, the vulnerable areas affected by the avalanche were lined up by the police so that they would not be passed by vehicles.

According to Plt. Director General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR, Djoko Murjanto, constraints in Ciregol are not only the unstable soil conditions, but also the two rivers (S. Pedes and Glagah) which flanking the soil erode the cliff where the road is located (11/3).

Based on monitoring, traffic flow at the location is still going smoothly. It's just that when large vehicles pass each other then one must reduce speed or even stop altogether to make room for other motorists to pass.

The solution, the Directorate General of Highways has planned the construction of a new road (relocation) along the 4.07 KM with a width of pavement 7.5 meters, shoulder shoulders 2 meters and requires 91,751.33 square meters of land.

Meanwhile, to face the 2015 homecoming flow, a right-hand cliff slashing will be made to make room for widening the pavement. as is known ciregol lane is a North-South Cross liaison that is crowded by vehicles, especially during the homecoming period. (ian)
