BANTEN (BINA MARGA) - In good condition, national roads in the provinces of Banten and West Java (outside of Pantura) were declared ready for travelers to Eid holidays this year.
This was said by the Head of the Ministry of Public Works Human Resources Development Agency, Loly Martina Marief while leading the 2019 Homecoming Survey Team, Thursday (05/16).
The survey began on Wednesday (05/15) at the Ministry of PUPR Office in Jakarta towards Tangerang-Serang-Merak-Labuan-Anyer-Malingping-Bayah (prov.Banten) -Cibareno-Pelabuhan Ratu-Sukabumi-Cianjur-Bandung-Nagreg- Limbangan-Tasikmalaya.

After the Merak Port, the section heading south from Merak to Sukabumi is a tourist route. According to Hari, this route passes several tourist spots such as Carita Beach, Anyer Beach, and Tanjung Lesung Beach, Karanghawu Beach, Citepus Beach, Cimaja Beach, and Citarik Rafting.
"This tourist route is not crowded when the flow of homecoming is crowded when H + 1 is on," said Hari.
The Head of BPSDM appreciates road pavement, which is mostly in good condition, ensuring a comfortable trip for travelers. But there are still some things that need attention.
"The pavement readiness is just the same as Pantura (West Java) but the neatness and complementary roads are all that need to be pursued. Good there are no holes," he said.
According to him, in each section reviewed the needs were different, for example marking stains, slashing grass on the shoulder of the road, normalizing drainage, repairing the median, and patching work.
"For drainage that does not yet have a program, it can only use labor intensive labor. If it is a land channel, it can only be used first (open drainage). Drainage is mandatory, it is useless if the road is stable but drainage is not smooth," he said.
Loly also reminded the Section Commitment Making Officers about Rumija violations such as the road shoulder used as a spilled market. "For example, Pasar Gembong in Balaradja yesterday. At a minimum, those of us who have road assets write continuously and coordinate with the regional government. This condition is a danger because it narrows the road," he said.
The survey is a continuation of a previous review of the West Java Pantura line. This time also accompanied the Director of the Free Road for Urban Obstacles and Regional Road Facilitation.
While at the same time, Bina Marga sent a small survey team from the Data Analysis and System Preparation Sub-Directorate, the Road Network Development Directorate to review the homecoming readiness on the Jakarta-Bogor-Cianjur route, while the survey included road conditions, Lebaran posts and road accessories.
Starting from Jalan Raya Ciputat the team found a potential congestion point caused by a U-turn in front of the Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta. Then the Cinere - Serpong toll road project uses the lower part of the national road so that the process has to prepare a new tract with the same number of lanes.
In this section there are also flood prone points at the end of the Ciputat Highway which are caused by no drainage, 2 pumps have been provided to reduce the potential for flooding.
Furthermore, on Parung Highway, there is a new overlaying point and waiting for the installation of road markings on May 20, 2019. In addition there is potential for congestion caused by the Parung Market and irregular public transportation.
