Visit Malang, Minister of PUPR and Commission V DPR Check Pandaan-Malang Toll Road

Malang (Bina Marga) - Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives and Minister of Public Works and Housing Rakya (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono made a working visit to East Java Province on Thursday (23/5). The kunker is to check the readiness of facilities and infrastructure for Lebaran 2019 in East Java. The locations reviewed include the Pandaan - Malang toll road to check the toll road readiness.
Accompanying the PUPR Minister and members of the House of Representatives Commission V included the Director of Freeways and Urban Affairs (JBHP) Directorate General of Highways Hedy Rahadian, Head of Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Danang Parikesit, and Head of National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN) VIII Surabaya I Ketut Darmawahana.
The toll road, which was recently inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, some 38.5 Km long, but the new one I-III (Pandaan-Singosari) has been operating for 30.6 Km. Even though it is already operational, the drivers who pass it are still free until Lebaran later. Whereas for Section IV of 4.8 Km from Singosari - Pakis will be functionalized and Section V for 3.1 Km from Pakis - Malang travelers have not been able to pass this year.
"East Java toll road is ready that Pandaan Malang we open Section I, II, and III until exit Singosari but we add functional in section 4 exit Pakis to prevent vehicle buildup at Singosari exit," said Hedy Rahadian.
The rest area at Pandaan - Malang toll road is in two places, namely KM 66A and KM 84B even though until now it is still in the process of being worked on. Besides there is also a Karanglo Underpass construction work on the Singosari exit which will be operated on H-7 before Eid.
"Our H-7 will operate Singosari Underpass on Jalan Karanglo, we hope that it can reduce the density from and to Malang, which is already extremely congested," added Hedy Rahadian.
National Roads in East Java are also Ready
On a different occasion, Head of VIII Surabaya BBPJN I Ketut Darmawahana said the preparation was nearing perfect. Ketut stated that the national road in East Java was ready to be passed when going home. This was reinforced by the East Java Regional Police statement after checking and calling the national road feasible.
"We are preparing the road for this road. Yesterday the last meeting at the Department of Transportation has been stated by the Regional Police that the road infrastructure for travelers in 2019 is already feasible. This is not us saying. Because the survey time together is feasible. The police themselves say that , "said Ketut.
In addition, Ketut added that his party is still making several improvements on national roads which are considered to be less than optimal. Ketut said his party was targeting on D-10 before Eid, all work had been completed.
"In accordance with the results of monitoring evaluations from the Ministry Directorate there are some that need to be repaired up to now. Today the repairs have been 100%. We prepared markers, painted places that need to be painted, I stated they were finished today. H-10 must be finished all jobs and we are ready to be passed by travelers, "he continued (KompuBM).
