The Balai VII Implementation of the National Road (BBPJN) Region VIII launched the construction of an integrity zone towards a Corruption-Free Area (WBK) in its internal environment. The event which is also an internalization and socialization process is targeted to deliver BBPJN VIII to the Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Region (WBBM).

The declaration that was held in Surabaya, East Java (East Java) on Monday (31/7) was led directly by the Head of BBPJN VIII Ketut Darmawahana and was followed by all ranks of BBPJN VIII. The handling was witnessed, among others, by the Secretary of the Directorate General (DG) Bina Marga Bambang Sudiatmo.

Also present at the event, Secretary of the Inspector General of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Netti Malemma, representatives from the Public Communications Bureau, Chief Representative of the East Java Ombudsman, representatives from the East Java Regional Police, as well as representatives from the East Java High Prosecutors Office. The declaration was marked by a joint declaration of gratification control which was filled in by the signing of the Head of BBPJN VIII and representatives of service providers.

In a speech from the Director General (Dirjen) of Bina Marga which was read by Bambang Sudiatmo, it was conveyed that the construction of an integrity zone was focused on implementing change management, structuring governance, structuring HR management systems, strengthening performance accountability, strengthening supervision and strengthening the quality of public services.

"The success of developing integrity zones is largely determined by the capacity and quality of integrity of each individual who has relevance in increasing the capacity and quality of integrity of his organization," said Director General of Highways.

For this reason, he gave appreciation to all apparatuses in BBPJN VIII for their willingness to build integrity zones in their workplaces to become clean and free organizations and free from corrupt, collutive and nepotistic actions.

After the ceremonial launching ceremony, Bambang Sudiatmo immediately reported to the Director General of Highways Arie Setiadi Moerwanto via the video conference channel. Accompanied by BBPJN VIII structural officials, Bambang informed about the implementation of the WBK declaration. Arie Setiadi expressed happiness and requested that other BBPJN / BPJN be able to immediately do the same.
