Peat soil has a low bearing capacity when it receives heap loads and other burdens on road construction. The combination of a bamboo grid with a concrete pole has the potential to increase the carrying capacity and reduce the reduction, so it is necessary to research how much influence the length and distance of the pile in reducing the decrease due to pile load. Estimation of the decline in a long time needs to be done by hyperbolic methods and numerical simulations with Plaxis 2D as a design basis. This research was carried out by observing through a small scale model in a laboratory on peat soil with reinforced bamboo grids and concrete poles which were loaded with heap load models. Settlement analysis is performed using hyperbolic methods and numerical simulations with 2D Plaxis to determine the behavior of soil deformation and stress distribution due to embankment loads. The results showed that reinforcing bamboo grids with concrete poles can reduce losses due to pile loads. Analysis of the decline in the hyperbolic method approaches the same as the observed data, while the numerical simulation with Plaxis 2D is greater than the other methods. Soil deformation behavior and stress distribution due to embankment load can be known from numerical simulations with Plaxis 2D.
