Abstract
Tulisan ini pada hakekatnya menyangkut hal ikhwal kabel pada jembatan gantung. Seperti telah diketahui suatu jembatan terdiri dari tiga yaitu: angker, kabel dan pylon. Bila salah satu saja dari ketiga unsur itu gagal maka akibatya seluruh konstruksi jembatan akan ambruk. Ternyata unsur gelagar pengkaku bukanlah merupakan peran penentu untuk keselamatan kontruksi pemikul.
