PERENCANAAN TEBAL PERKERASAN LENTUR SECARA ANALITIS MENGGUNAKAN MODULUS ELASTIS

Abstract
Perencanaan lapis perkerasan jalan dengan menggunakan modulus atau kekakuan elastis (efastic stiffness) ini di kembangkan oleh Shell International Petroleum Co Ltd dan University of Nottingham (1986). Prosedur perencanaan tebal lapis perkerasan ini mengikuti prinsip mode keruntukan akibat retak fatik (kelelahan) dan deformasi permanen, yaitu kerusakan yang disebabkan oleh tegang-tegangan struktur akibat beban lalu lintas selama umur rencana. Nilai kekakuan elastis campuran aspal dapat di perkirakan berdasarkan data laboratorium di bawah kondisi kekakuan elastis bitumen yang dihitung pada suhu dan waktu pembebanan tertentu. Contoh perhitungan disajikan dalam bentuk lembar kerja, masing-masing kolom diberi nomor rumus dan grafik yang digunakan. penerapannya untuk di Indonesia disesuaikan dengan memasukan beberapa perumusan yang diambil dari hasil penelittian selama ini antara Pusat Litbang Jalan dengan TRL, Inggris (1987-1994).
