PENGARUH KEDALAMAN TEKSTUR TERHADAP KEKESATAN PERMUKAAN JALAN

Abstract
Kedalaman tekstur (TD) biasanya digunakan untuk klasifikasi tekstur permukaan jalan secara garis besar. Ada kecenderungan meningkatnya kekesatan (koeffisien friksi) bila dijumpai tekstur permukaan jalan yang lebih dalam. Tetapi dengan tipikal data yang menyebar dari garis kecocokan, menjadikannya seolah-olah nilai yang meragukan. Namun demikian, secara umum perkerasan dengan tekstur yang sangat halus (TD <_ 0.2 mm) seyogyanya dilarang, sedangkan tekstur yag sangat kasar(TD > 1.2 mm) diguakan pada hal-hal khusus seperti tikungan tajam setelah jalan lurus. Makalah ini mengetengahkan hasil penelitian hubungan kedalaman tekstur dengan kekesatan permukaan jalan.
