Abstract
Bila sebuah jalan menjadi basah, kemampuannya untuk menyediakan tahanan gelinccir menjajdi sangat berkurang. Untuk keselamatan bekendaraan dalam kondisi basah, harus ada suatu tingkatan friksi minimum yang diperlukan antara roda kendaraan dan permukaan jalan. Pengetahuan tentang ketersediaan friksi tersebut dengan demikian diperlukan, Makalah ini memngetengahkan kondisi alami atau mekanisme dari friksi antara roda dan permukaan jalan, serta uraian tentang komponen dari friksi tersebut yang bisa mempengaruhi atau memberikan konstribusi terhadap besarnya tahanan gelincir pada jalan basah.
