Full-scale traffic tests were completed on three rubblized rigid airport pavements overlaid with 5 in. (130 mm) of hot-mix asphalt at the FAA’s National Airport Pavement Test Facility. Initially, the overlaid pavements were trafficked with a four-wheel landing gear (with wander) and 55,000-lbs (25-tonne) wheel load.
