LAJU KOROSI SENG GALVANIS PADA RANGKA BAJA JEMBATAN

Abstract
Untuk mengetahui laju korosi komponen rangka baja bangunan atas jembatan, maka telah dilakukan penelitian pada beberapa lokasi korosif yang dianggap mewakili, yaitu : lokasi pantai diwakili oleh pantai Karang Bolong daerah Banten Jawa Barat, lokasi industri diwakili oleh kawasan industri Pulogadang DKI Jakarta dan lokasi pegunungan diwakili oleh Kamojang daerah sumber gas alam Jawa Barat.
Pengamatan dilakukan degnan membuat beberapa benda uji pelat baja yang digalvanis dan dipajang pada lokasi korosif. Pada setiap periode tertentu diukur kehilangan lapis galvanisnya. Pengumatan ini dlakukan sektar 4,5 tahun, sehingga dapat diperkirakan laju korosi lapis seng galvanis sebagai berikut : lokasi pantai 5,5 UM/tahun. Lokasi industri 7,0 UM/tahun dan lokasi gunung dekat berapi 7,5 UM/tahun.
