The results of a survey of several large onstruction companies in the southwestern United States revealed that antractors have a great deal of experience with scalp-and-replace rock arrection methods and apparently not as much experience with rock ,nrection equations, particularly in highway work. An understanding of the potential differences in ),,k correction methods. by contractors and engineers alike, should duce conflicts and future problems with the compacted fill.
