Aggregate Tests for Hot-Mix Asphalt Mixtures Used in Pavements
The report presents recommendations for performance-based procedures to test aggregates for use in pavements utilizing hot-mix asphalt (HMA) mixtures and provides guidance on using these procedures for evaluating and selecting agggregates for use in specific mixture applications. This information will guide material engineers in selecting the agggregates that should contribute to well performing pavements; this information can also be used in conjunction with performance-related specifications. The content of this report will be of immediate interest to material engineers, researchers and others concerned with the construction and performance of HMA pavements
