Laboratory experiment have been carried out to determine the gross sewage solids separation characteristics, i.e. the efficiency, of a double high side-weir storm sewer overflow chamber. The chamber was designed to incorporate a stilling zone upstream of, and a detention zone downstream of, the weirs. One geometric configuration of the chamber was tested under steady flow conditions and when subjects to a flood wave in the form of a discharge time hydrograph.
