This revision takes into account the changes and additions to BS 1377 brought about by the 1990 revision of that standard and some subsequent amendments. The new material added includes references to NAMAS (National Measurement Accreditation Service) requirements for calibration and tests introduced into the new British Standard such as those related to the moisture condition value. The requirements of the latest available ASTM standards have also been covered more extensively than in the first edition.
