 <note>This report describes the controlled demolition of 100,000 square feet of post-tensioned slab, which was necessitated by suspicion of damage due to fire. The saw cuttings procedure was used to neutralize over 900 post tensioned tendons. The neutralization of the tendons was programmed to reveal information on response of live and in-place tendons to saw cutting. Observations made are described and tabulated. Steps taken to integrate theretained portions of the building with new construction are described. The work illustrates that, if required, slabs constructed with unbonded posttensioned tendons can safely and readily be dismantled. The report concludes with recommendations for demolition of similar projects.&#13;
