289-295p. In the course of the a new highspeed railway line the Tunnel Offenbau is built in difficult ground and groundwater conditions. Due to these conditions and the bordering village Offenbau the Tunnel is constructed in top cover technique combined with compressed air in order to guarantee the serciveability of the housing at all times. The construction of the tunnel was accompanied by an extensive monitoring programme, which included the monitoring of tunnel and the neighbouring constructions.
