Austroads and the Australian Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA) have jointly prepared this Guide to the Audit and Surveillance of Sprayed Sealing Contract Works as an aid to promoting good practice in the performance of sprayed sealing work. Successful sprayed sealing work requires attention to a large amount of detail in the selection, design and carrying out of sprayed sealing operations. With the introduction of quality assured contracts, sprayed sealing specifications used by most road agencies have evolved from being largely method-based to being mostly expressed in terms of outcomes.
